SHAWN & ED BREWING COMPANY

Work was completed on the Shawn & Ed (ShEd) Brewing Company in 2016.  The ShEd brewery is a renovation and restoration of the historic Dundas Curling & Skating Rink Co.  Built circa 1880 the structure has gone through many different uses over the past 100 years.  One of the most important design criteria for TRA was to maintain the character of the original building while updating it to perform efficiently as a Brewery and tasting facility.  Key project highlights include a new roof and insulation, reintroduction of existing skylights, repair and re-facing of all structural brick, new windows, renewal of existing lamps, and introduction of high end LED overhead lighting.  A mezzanine level was also introduced over new washrooms and storage that will be used for small events
