AAMOONH ZASWAN NISHNAWBE HOMES

This 32 unit housing project added to the already sizeable portfolio of Nishnawbe Homes Inc. whose mandate is to provide affordable housing units within the Greater Toronto Area. The project provided a rare opportunity by virtue of its location. Being located in an area of the downtown core that is in close proximity to many Indigenous service providers, the project provided an opportunity to have units constructed directly where they were needed the most. The facility is comprised of a mix of bachelor units and one bedroom apartments each of which has its own private bathroom and kitchen. Shared amenities include a meeting room, a laundry, a garbage recycling area and an administrative office.
