David’s Fine Dinning is located on the northern shores of Lake Erie in Port Dover.  The project involved the renovation and expansion of an existing house along New Lakeshore Road in Port Dover. Key aspects of the project included maximizing views to the south over Lake Erie and allowing for separate and discreet entrances to the bar on the upper floor, the restaurant on the main floor and the spa on the lower floor. Another significant design challenge was to incorporate elements into the front elevation so that the building would appear larger than it really is so as to be proportionate with a large residence located to the immediately west of the existing structure. This was achieved through the introduction of a generous entrance canopy and associated parapet detailing.  The project also had some techinical aspects to it including the installation of a stationary pool.
